      Hi Mathsparks,

It's better to write the poem yourself, more personal. why not write it in english and translate it to her verballly? I'm sure she will appreciate the thought.

Or alternatively, you may want to get her a present from my blogshop @ http://www.my-little-blogshop.blogspot.com. No obligation. 😄

      mathsparks:
Mother's day is coming soon. I need a simple poem in chinese to tell mum how much she means to us, to thank her for all the sacrifices she's made and to wish her the best of health.
I know it's better to write it myself, but I'm no good with chinese, so appreciate any help please. :please: and :thankyou:

Hey mathsparks, I am not good but I will give it a shot...feel free to amend where deem fit.

月光明照窗口边旁 (moonlight shining on the side of the window)
夜夜思念妈妈的棒 (nightly reminiscing the greatness of mother)
多年辛苦栽培我们 (years of toil to develop us)
展开我们内心潜能 (to expand the potential in us)

天上的星星让我知 (the stars in the sky let me know)
          妈妈的爱无微不至 (mother's love is invincible)
毫无条件付出爱税 (unconditionally she paid love tax)
在此祝她长寿万岁!! (here's to wish her long life thousand years!)

No la...I won't say I am good in both languages...I think there are many here who are but not as LLLS as me only... 😉
Please go ahead and print it, oh no need to give me credit, I am just writing how you feel about your mom only. 😄

BlurBee has explained, it is the same character but the meaning here is \"excellence\", \"greatness\"
