        HLF in compass one not open yet .

        the ocbc ,5 yrs u posted in investment thread , my senior purchased some amt too, 5yrs risk free if got extra cash ,reasonable for elders.

        I was at Compass One just now.
        No FD promotion. HLF 12 mths FD at 1.3%. Ocbc 1.1%.
        Don't seem to find any FD promotion this month.

          It does not say that the principal is guaranteed, right?
          It only says guaranteed cash payout.

              Maybank FD , 12 months 1.68 per cent. Upfront interest given tomorrow.

              Condition :
              must maintain ten per cent of your FD amount in savings account and cannot use this ten per cent for a year too. Savings account rate is 0.1875 percent.

                    If put $60k means take $6k to put in the savings acct ( for one yr, as long as the fixed dep term)
                    so total capital to b prepared is $66K - this bundle sounds ok to me , at least it is not investment or insurance conditions
                    my senior promo at waterway pt should be this mechanics

                    but is it safe , Maybank, to put more than one foxed dep in May bank ?
                    The fixed dep protection( of up to 50K) by MAS is per per $50k per name Or ?

                        Yes, it is $50k per person (covers S$ savings account, S$ current account, S$ fixed deposits)
                        If accounts are jointly owned, it is assumed that the each account holder has an equal share for the purpose of computing the deposit insurance.
