Watched Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children.

I have not read the book. Based on the above link, the movie content differs from the book with regards to the adventure.
The movie has a rather disturbing scene in which the villains feast on a plate of eyeballs.
I also wonder why the movie has to \"force\" an element of romance between Jacob and Emma. -

Does it mean as long as we subscribe to either StarHub or Singtel MioTV, we do not need an external antenna?
Don't know about Mio, but we only had to get the antenna after we stopped our Starhub subscription. -
Talking abt tv, it is getting more and more complex. I just need one that i can watch prog in ch U, 5, 8 and CNA.

If you only want the free to air channels, you don't need a \"smart\" TV. You can buy a set-top box with antenna (sorry, my earlier post was not accurate, the antenna comes with the set-top box) and you can watch those channels without a Satrhub etc. subscription. I can't remember why Starhub doesn't need an antenna. -
Now is digital tv and salesman said must buy an antenna even with a digital tv. And now there is android tv which can detect home wifi etc

As long as you want to receive free-to-air channels and you don't have a Starhub/Mio subscription, you will have to get the antenna.
I think the android TV is also termed \"smart\"? Ours isn't, but the android TVs are very expensive. So my husband bought another gadget which plugs into our non-smart TV to enable it to connect to our home Wifi so we can stream from the internet. So since we discontinued Starhub, we have acquired 2 new gadgets. -
OT: In the past, plug into the tv point and switch on the power, we could watch tv prog.
The lightning activities in this early morning were pretty scary; wish I could sleep longer at home. -

Yes, I was rather disappointed that we had to get an antenna of our own. It seems that the authorities expect most people to subscribe to cable TV and didn't take into account those who only want free-to-air.
