Now is digital tv and salesman said must buy an antenna even with a digital tv. And now there is android tv which can detect home wifi etc
As long as you want to receive free-to-air channels and you don't have a Starhub/Mio subscription, you will have to get the antenna.
I think the android TV is also termed \"smart\"? Ours isn't, but the android TVs are very expensive. So my husband bought another gadget which plugs into our non-smart TV to enable it to connect to our home Wifi so we can stream from the internet. So since we discontinued Starhub, we have acquired 2 new gadgets. -
OT: In the past, plug into the tv point and switch on the power, we could watch tv prog.
The lightning activities in this early morning were pretty scary; wish I could sleep longer at home. -

Yes, I was rather disappointed that we had to get an antenna of our own. It seems that the authorities expect most people to subscribe to cable TV and didn't take into account those who only want free-to-air. -

ME time as I had a mild food poisoning since yesterday.

Oops, we usually take lacteol fort capsules/sachets when down with mild food poisoning. It’s basically the good bacteria - lactobacillus but in huge quantity, think it’s supposed to crowd out the bad bacteria, something like that. No need prescription, works well for us.
