Two PSLE in a row will speed up my aging. :nailbite:
After I'm done with 2017 PSLE, I will see you in the 2018 PSLE thread.

To bring up 2 children with just 1 year difference is not easy. Besides, your girls have been doing well, especially the younger one. So you don't have to worry much.

Janet, therein lies another worry. I don't think it's healthy if the academic gaps between the two siblings gets wider and wider... Mothers tend to over worry? Oh well...[/quote]wow we need to learn from you on your experience. I am a first time PSLE mum. :udawoman:

Although stressful, it's also good - you can teach both at the same time n the momentum will be there after you finish DD1's PSLE, you can still continue with DD2.

But the downside maybe early burnout for you. So you have to take care of yourself too.

              yl,
no matter what, mothers tend to worry. towards the last mile, i was losing sleep and worried sick if she had been exposed to enough unforseen questions for science, done enough math word problems and had sufficient practice in her weak areas for english.

PSLE first timer mum is no fun, very stressful becos you do not know what to expect. Better to enjoy the last few months of 2016 and start afresh in 2017. No worries - there is time to catch up next year but start early.

Don’t fret. Honestly I don’t think psle is as bad as it sounds.

Schools will drill students with lots of practice papers. So no lack of practice.
My only concern is time constraint. Need to allocate time for revision, not just doing 1 practice paper after another practice paper.

I’ve been through 2 psle. Personally, I find dsa more stressful than psle.

Planning to start soon...but problem is, where to start? Sending for tuition - which one to go? Do practice papers - too much to do plus school is also providing them. Revision - how can I do that if I am also a working mum? ...So many things gg on now. Ds is doing fine at school but I am uncertain what to expect come next year. 🤷

                      Hi sleepy,
I wonder why is DSA so important to the kids...? Assuming they do their best in PSLE and have good marks, qualifying for secondary school admissions, why such a stress for DSA exercise? I am also looking out for this now, but considering if it is really worth going for the exercise.

there are new topics for primary 6. practice papers still early to start now.
after p5 SA2, take 1-2 weeks break and then start teaching p6 topics for math and science. don't forget to revise lower block science during the year end holidays.

when school begins next year, teachers will go on the fast track which means finer details would have to be covered by the students themselves. if possible, finish teaching math and science p6 topics latest by june.
