Hi Parents of Kids at Pei Hwa,


My daughter going to P1 next year. Just received letter from Pei Hwa to buy books/stationary and uniform.
Rather than scrolling through the entire forum without any idea what to look for, I am hoping that current parents can share what to take note for this "exercise" as well as any invaluable experiences that you had?

Hi, my son also going Pei hwa, but we have not receive letter on the books, uniform etc. Only orientation date in Nov. :rahrah:

My SIL might be registering her child in PH in a few years time.

Current principal is still around so no feedback yet,the new P will come next year I think... the only info we know is that new P is from bukit view primary school.

which means the present P stayed in this position for 10 years!

i remember when my son entered p1 in 2007, miss chan lai peng was just transferred back to HQ.
10 years in the same school as a principal is rather long. miss chan was principal for 7 years.

Currently, we are considering move resident place to Upper Bukit Timah.
However, I noticed many parents discuss PH is to move (temporarily) for expansion.
I would like to know how will this affect P1 registration. Will distance be calculated based on new campus or current one?

In fact I have another question, as seems Pei Hwa's popularity dropped in recent years? For 2012 & 2013, 2C's over applied at 150%, while 2014 at 120%. For 2015 & 2016, no balloting needed for SC <1km. Can ask why is so? Also can I safely say 2017 will be like that also?

Find a school which you feel that the culture suits your beliefs and your child, not whether the school is popular or not.
