      CatMoon:
      Hi parents,

My dd just did her O-level Chem Phy practical paper (combined science) on Wednesday and she found it quite tough. She said the questions were unusual (more like pure science) and the instructions to set up the experiments were 3 pages long. She struggled to complete the last question.

How did your kids find the practicals?

      :xedfingers:
DS said chemistry was tougher than physics

Hi can anyone share if students still need to do Math across the board in the poly? Or is it for certain courses only?

To enter poly, need to meet minimum criteria for EL and Maths, usually C6. But only need to study Math for selected courses at poly. Definitely a must if pursuing Engineering studies. Check the course requirements & syllabus on the respective poly websites to have a better idea.

E and A math Exams this year are over! Some of my students complained that Paper 1 for Add Math was harder than Paper 2 and E Math Paper 2 last question was time consuming. The trend is exams are testing more on critical thinking skills and students need to be prepared for unseen questions.
                  totally agree.
son is going back to school for his biology exam soon.

essay before MCQ...son told me the MCQ paper is actually more challenging than the essay.
after the history paper 2day, he is finally done with humanities. next week, chinese (he hopes to get a B grade).
