        HI All

For DSA CO. once you received your posting on PSLE results day, is there a need to report to school in Dec for registration?

Reason for asking as we will be away during the christmas period.

Thanks very much in advance !

Yes, my understanding is that all students (whether via DSA or T score) need to report to the Secondary School the day after the School posting Results are out. But having said that, my friend, who was also away last year during Xmas season, did call the school and explain the situation - she made alternatives to buy the uniforms, books etc. on another day.

The students will be given a package (file) which includes the Book List, details about the Sec 1 Orientation, as well as other information such as Sec 1 Parents Symposium, Giro app, bursary, collect vehicle decal, etc. That day will also be the day where parents can buy uniform and school books etc. Also there will be certain rooms open for enquiries into special / elective programmes (Art, Music, 3rd Language) etc.

Unfortunately, it should be around that date. MOE will announce after that the PSLE results.

                        Hi maple leaf,
My ds is now Sec 2. Yes, the Phy and Chem textbooks are for reading materials. While the teachers provide notes which you need to print from the IVLE website, the textbooks come in handy for additional reading materials for revisions. For the first 2 years, the school will cover many topics on Phy and Chem - only 3 topics on Bio are covered over the 2 years.
