bestwishes......have you flipped through the pages of this book? Good? I was at the popular bookshop yesterday and chanced upon this. Wondering any feedback about this book before I jumped into it.

It includes both LB & UB topics, more thematic arrangement, with topical fill-in the blanks notes.
Can be used in P5, esp after each theme is completed.
Good to use this book for revision first to build up foundation and grasping key concepts before using Challenging Sc Examination Papers which is much more challenging (more for high achievers).

i bought Top Science as it includes questions from p3. the answer sheet has a clear explanation for the options chosen.

For Science, so I can’t recycle my current P6 notes and guidebook for my 2006 kids? How vastly different is the syllabus?

Don't think Top Sc has fill-in the blanks notes, right?

top science consists of mcq and oe.
bought 'science of success' but didn't use it in the end...it has 'fill in the blanks' section.

I would think still can use the old notes. The basic science notes will not change. Except that the way the questions asked would be gearing towards more application.

I even use a hand-me-down notes dated 2008 for my DS in his P3/P4 and he is doing alright with the science concept. I just top it up with some assessment books and past year paper. So I would think any notes is still better than the school textbook.

To all parents of soon-to-be P5 students,


Though you have about 2 more years before your DC take the PSLE, I would highly recommend to read the several good articles on secondary school selection in the Straits Times today, under the 'Education' section. Think these are specially published for parents whose P6 child is collecting PSLE results this Thursday.

Would be good to go for some school open house starting May next year to do your homework early on secondary schools.

Yes! I intent to drag my dearie to go along with me too.....even though he has already set his mind on which sec school to go. Apparently he is all ready and I am not. :shock:
