Is ICL more popular for pre-school? Any feedback on their lower and upper primary program?

I’m starting my son in icreative next year. Is it a must for him to learn how to write and read all alphabets for him to start off the class? My boy had picked up most alphabets but writing wise, he is not very steady yet.
