      Hi,

My girl is born in 2012 and I am planning to send her to HIPS starting P1 in 2019.
I am also thinking of doing PV, so asking around whether any parents with kids starting P1 in 2019, maybe we can start a whataspp groupchat to share information?

          Hi parents,

Am staying 1-2km from hips. So I will still stand a chance right? My boy goes to P1 in 2018. Higher chance to get in by doing PV? If so, got to apply now? Please advice. Thanks a lot 🙂
          Hi, Ethan_mummy,

May I know if you have successfully registered for PV? How do they shortlist the candidates for PV, is it by balloting or interview?
May girl was born in 2013 and we stay 1-2km, I'm interested to register for PV in HIPS.

          Thank you. :rahrah:

Hi mummies, anyone here did parent volunteer? And applied via 2B?

I did PV. My daughter applied phase 2B on monday.

            Hi, sienta,

May I know if any balloting or interview required to become PV of the school?

            Thank you so much.

Hi parents of children in HIPS,

May I know how the teaching standard is like there, are teachers good? Is the chinese std very high? I am helping to ask for a friend who just relocated to singapore, he used to be from HIPS. But not sure if it is the right school for his boy as they were in UK for a period and his son’s chinese is not that good.

                Hi,

HIPS is a SAP school so naturally the requirement standard for Chinese is relatively there. However, the teachers are very nice and the school gives supplementary lessons to the weaker students. Since your friend is an ex-student from HIPS, he should check with the school and share with them his concerns. Am sure the school can address all the issues he has.

FYI, the school is moving to a temporary holding site at ITE AMK next year.

Thank you, it is quite a relief I am sure for him to know this that the teachers will help the weaker ones.

Thanks for the info on the move, he says in Bishan area so should not be a prob:)
