      Hi Hyperkiasu,

For my gal, she is very interested, therefore, normally, she will try to use the techniques pick up and do it herself. Sometimes, i will occasionally ask her what did you learn and ask her to show it to me.

I am not quite sure about what the other parents manage about this but sometime, i heard that some parents will learn to do it themselve and practise with the kids to motivate them.
      😄

        HyperKiasu:
        Dear Parents,

Do your DD practise ballet at home after attending class? How to help her when she practise at home if parents never dance ballet before? Appreciated your advice....

        thanks
My DDs practice a couple times a week. They each have DVDs that cover what is taught in class. NAFA and some of the other schools follow the syllabus from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). You can order RAD DVDs online from the UK. I think Sonata might also sell them. Sonata has a few branches.

Hi Monster Mummy and Life Butter Well,

          Thanks for your reply.
DD just began pre-balle two months ago. She loves it and also practices at home a few times a week. But I am not sure whether her posture/movement is corret. feel she just takes it as fun.
Ok, let me try the DVD…

          Thanks

We had recently sent our 5 yrs old girl to SBA for audition and she has been accepted by them…After the audition, my girl did explain to me that they are different from what she learnt in the CC…In the dance studio which is pretty big, they had a pianist playing the music…My girl was doing ballet in CC since toddler and it was her teacher’s recommendation to send her to SBA. According to her, the school is taught by professional dancer and are serious in their teaching…

Any parents has feedback on SBA??

                  Hi HappyAvon,

I believe that if you have read the forum for this ballet topic, previously, there is one person who mentioned that SBA is more of proffessional and they are solely trained on ballet and no other dance. Therefore, it should not be a worry for you.

Hi Monster Mummy, thanks for the response...DD has keen interest in ballet and I also think its good to be trained under professional dancers... I also received some feedbacks that the students improved alot after learning in SBA..The teacher knows how to correct muscles and teaches very good techniques....

                      Hi,

No problem as parents all wanted for the best of the kids. Actually, I also would like to try out but the distance travelling and location wise are also the factors taking into the consideration.
