You shouldn’t wait for the school to do that. You need to seek for professional help and give your child the chance she/he deserves.
If you love your child, do whatever it takes so she/he can get a shot of a better life when she/he grows up.

You may approach his former teacher to seek for advice. The FT should be able to help your child.
