May I know whether the RI boys need to go back for CCA, projects, training etc. on Saturdays? My boy would be in Sec 1 next year. I am really hoping that Sat is a free day for the boys to rest.

Some CCAs are held on Saturday - so some boys do have to go back to school on Saturdays on a weekly (regular) basis. Other than for CCAs, there are some events, programs etc held on certain Saturdays, which require attendance of some boys, on a need-to-basis.

I will like to check regarding the sec 1 orientation camp’s packing list. They are required to bring 2× 1.5l of plastic bottles. Are that for drinking, meaning we got to fill up the water? Coz i noticed that under the items not allowed, it is stated "drinks". So wondering whether we need to prepare water bottles/ drinking water for them to bring? Thanks

U can fill one bottle as required and leave the other empty. They can fill up as in sch.

Yes. DS was at the reporting day and will be at the orientation camp too. He said it is time to give back to school although it requires a lot of discipline to be PSL. During the meetings (there were many meetings to prepare the PSLs), they checked the shoes (must be reasonably white), hair (must be short) and shirt (must be tucked in). Late comers are kicked out from the meetings. They will also get feedback from teachers. One bad comment from teacher(s) will get the PSL kicked out from becoming PSL So, you only saw all the seriously dedicated ones during school reporting day!

Pssst.... even for the next week's Year 1 orientation camp, the PSLs have 83 pages of guidelines to read! These boys are really serious!

The first 3 things my labbit told me was - sch got free wifi, can use phone during recess, and recess is 40 min! So can see that things got off to a good start as far as junior is concerned.

DS said got the 4th best thing in RI. Soft drink! :rotflmao: DS's primary school canteen doesn't sell soft drink so he was so happy to see that RI canteen sells soft drink.
