hi all, i saw this school at upper thomson road. is this a new school?

      http://www.hankuk.com.sg/
It started early this year. The main branch for this school, which has been around longer, is in Aljunied. I'm learning TKD @ the Thomson branch with my 9 year old daughter in a family class. My 4 year old son learns at a class for younger kids. The instructor's very good, esp. with kids. I'd recommend very much.

White belt to yellow tip grading is still 3 step skipping and turningkicks forward/backward. Any school under STF should suffice, unless you needed fancy waiting areas.
          is there a fixed routine?
my younger boy is going for yellow tip grading soon and what he needs to do is hardly what you stated above. all he needs to know are a few commands and kicks with 2 legs one direction while 'bobbing around'. 🤷
even my husband is surprised. he has not heard of coloured-tip grading as he had been getting solid coloured belts when he did TKD in his time (he said need to know a series of steps to clear) - is it a different system?

My hb was equally surprised when he signed up for my son last yr. His time was solid coloured belts as well. Time has changed.

With this change, they probably earn more as every 3months or so, there is a grading test, so we pay more then.

husband got his black in middle primary. he is not for accelerating (he said for fitness purpose only what) and said no need to pay for upmarket facilities to learn TKD - he was with community club. you see, i wanted to switch son to a setup with smaller group for better techniques (higher fees too la).
he still remembers part of his routine after so long...and once in a while will do them to our amusement (upon request) - creaking bones and all! 😂

Well I think these days even the ones at CC are also on par with the upmarket centres right. They have to earn in \"tips\" stages.

Ya, the 2 legs one direction while bobbing around is what they called \"sports\" grading. This is a close one eye grading just to pass the 1st stage, a morale boaster for kids and parents alike.

Earn more money of cos, kids outgrown very fast, uniform not cheap, if your kids resides on certain CC, about 3 of them, you will be asked to buy headgear, gum guard, arm guard, gloves, body guard, shin guard and feet wrap.

                      Hi peasants,

I did saw some kids with big bag of gears during the grading.
Husband said he only bought a kicking board thingy last time,no gears.
We were also not allowed to view the grading process.

You need to have CSI mind to figure
out why some are geared while some are not.
Of cos looks good to be fully geared like
Transformers robots. I am sure some CC dun
buy that, depending who is the PA Trainer. Not
allow to view grading process is rubbish. Again u
hv to see is it becos they held it in a small ballet
air con room, or MPH. Mostly becos of logistics reason,
                        I cannot think of others.
