even so…T-Score can never be 300. Statistically calculation not possible even if all subject is full marks. Because the calculation takes into average score and unless the average cohort score damn low.

You are too young - there was a time when psle result slip had no score, then score was 300 series and top score in the 400… then the system changed to the 200 series that you see now.

But the main point i would like to highlight is reading is a good activity, to relax and at the same time good for brains.

When I took my PSLE long long time ago the scoring system was in the 300-400ish series, which is different from now. I remember the top boy in my cohort back then scored 420. I was at 409. So there is a valid point here.

I think I read considerably but not excessive. Not really top top. My sec school had a lot more high flyers. Anyway 小时了了。

I did not do 武侠小说 but I did 家春秋, though it could be during sec school years.

:rotflmao: I dig my PSLE cert and found 425! OMG I am OLD! :yikes:

Thinking back, I do read a lot but only English story books. Did quite a lot of assessment books because no tuition then. And I play a lot. :rahrah:

                      Hi

my girl having more homework starting last week and extra afternoon kick in after cny , 2 days per week.
also i asking her to do \"a bit\" more extra work (eg. 3 math question + 1 compre a day ) on top of her school workload
do u all think i am overloading her ??? also feel very insecure , see her got breaktime, feel like she is \"wasting time\" if she is not studying 😛 haha
xn_mummy, I feel you! I also feel that my DS is wasting time if he is not doing work but watching tv or playing nerf gun! lol... like sicko mummy. 😛 On one hand I don't want him to burn out too early, on the other I want him to feel the need to do some revision/work when there is no sch hw! I only bought 1 assessment book for Math this year as he couldn't finish the English and science ones last year (had to make him finish during sch hols much to his chagrin!) And I just bought the PSLE papers.

I feel so insecure without seeing them do assessment books on a regular basis. Just do school homework, will it be enough?

lee_yl, I was just like you - I bought so many assessment books for PSLE. Luckily DD enjoys doing assessment books so she will just continue after finishing her homework but most of the time she can complete her schoolwork in school.

Come to think of it, I am glad my DD is blur blur - ask her do what, she do what. So she never complain of stress n tiredness. Like robot. 😄

                        Hahaha!!!
