Any idea which one is usually the "prefer" choice (history or geo) for jh?
-
Tks mommyNg for clarification. I got confused as last year module info booklet stated geo n hist as compulsory subj which the kids tk 1 of the subj for only 1 semester each. It didnt state they are for the AH cls. For ALA, i though it already incl Lit w eng…is there a Lit subj added? How abt MI (man n idea), anyone cn feedback what are being taught and if its a demandg/heavy subj?

My child prefer history. Would it be pure or combined history content?
-
There is no combined history. Either history for half year (sem 1 or 2) for lower JH, or full year for upper JH…

Hi all,
My girl is currently in JH1.
I realised that they do not use any textbooks as compared to other IP schools. They only use booklets which require the students to fill in the blanks and not much notes within the booklets.
Can some seniors or parents of seniors share on how their children in NJC manage to excel in the subjects given that the notes in the subject booklets are brief?
thank you very much. -
mommyNg:
Hi, can share where do you send your gal for Maths tuition? Thanks!
So where does your gal go for tuition?bumbum:
My gal in jh2 , also facing the same situation. Weak foundation and the weekly consol lesson din help much. I didn't know jh2 is being banded for math . I suspect she falls into the weaker grp. So I have no choice but to send her to tuition to brush up the concepts.

Hmm, I'm pretty hands-off and I leave it completely to my child to manage her own studies, so I'm not sure how she did it. I think besides the notes, they also have access to some online questions/tutorial to help reinforce the concepts they learnt in class?

There are reference books titles printed in the booklets.
The school library should have those reference books, students can use the books in the library. -
Thanks for your reply.
