I think second round is the final round. Based on previous experience, the names for those shortlisted and waitlisted will be published on the notice board for all CCA before the submission so that the girls can make informed decision.

The CCAs should be informing the students whether they were accepted, or on wait list.Hi
I would like to know whether modern dance audition result will release to Sec 1 students that have selected and gone for 2nd round audition?
How will the sec one student know if they have given a slot in dance? Before submit the CCA form.
Thanks!
This should happen before the submission deadline. -
can someone confirm for Sec 1, LA and HCL are double weightage and Humanities are 0.5 weightage. The handbook is silent on this.

Dont think HCL is double weightage for any level.
Its weightage 1 for sec 1/2 and 1.5 for sec 3/4.
The rest should be correct. (i.e LA 2, History 0.5, Geography 0.5 for Sec 1/2)
Maybe u can ask your dd to confirm with her form teachers during CCE/CCT hours? -
thanks any reasons why LA is 2.0 while the other humanities are 0.5?
-
Not sure.
The only thing I know is that LA includes Literature.
I think in some schools, English language and Literature are considered 2 separate subjects? -
anyone knows what’s the talk on "demystifying humanities" all about? Will we miss anything if couldn’t attend?

Hi all,
I am getting confused and annoyed…So recently, the girls were told to prepare something for speech training. First group: CL teacher said not graded. Second group: ( 2 weeks later) CL teacher said graded. Girls in first group were shocked.
Next, CL essay assignment. The girls were told to write a suitable ‘opening’ to suit the passage given. ( no criteria or restrictions were given). Some girls thought like P6, gave simple short opening, some gave long opening etc. However, those who wrote short n few liners failed the paper. Some who were not fluent but got 点题, got highest instead. The rest were just in between marks. I find that since criterias n restrictions were not set, this way of marking is not fair. My girl told me how her friend wrote n was given 4 marks (out of compassion). Pity those who failed. ( the latest test, qn paper did mention they wanted 开门见山/ 前后呼应)
So is this the norm? How do we know what is REQUIRED n what is graded? -
开门见山就是要直接点题
