      floppy:

In many ways, this is a much better option for him than MI. Not quite the IT courses he wanted but still cater to some of his strengths and interests.
      totally agree floppy.
infocomm options are rather limited compared to engineering.
actually, he was offered RP info technology yesterday but after we compared between the 2 courses, he realized EEE is more suitable as year 2 and year 3 gives him more options...which explained the mad rush last night to go for the colour vision test and to make payment.

Hi Janet, :congrats: to you and your ds!
EEE is definitely a good course that suits him and with good prospects.

thanks everyone....after a period being stuck in the dark tunnel, we finally saw light at the end. this should be a good test for him and hope he appreciates the SP offer and study hard. opportunities don't always come.

:congrats: Janet and your son. Very happy for your family. A new beginning. Wishing him a rewarding stint in SP. :rahrah:

it's not so much of which one is good or not...my son is not the academic kind...the 2 weeks in MI confirmed that. if the child is able to cope with the tough academic route, then JC route is suitable.

                    thanks MrsKiasu 😄
i went along with him to drop off the admission/finance documents at SP today...also to see how he will get to school...he will take a bus to bukit batok interchange and then take the MRT to jurong east before switching to another line to dover station...pretty fast if train doesn't break down.

That's the reverse of what my daughter did for the past 3 yrs in MI. As far as recall, she didn't encounter many breakdowns. My feeling is that breakdowns generally happen at the end of the lines?

OT - She has been shortlisted for interview and test at SP today. She was only told yesterday, and had to scramble to prepare a 1-min video self-intro last night. It was a family effort - my husband and I helped edit her draft to make it shorter, then my younger daughter helped film it!
