NUS High is different. If you don't DSA, the chance of getting in after PSLE is very slim. For many IP schools, the DSA quota is around 50% of the entire cohort. For NUS High, it is 90% DSA (so 10% left for PSLE intake which is about 17 vacancies 2 years ago). For last year, they even changed to 100% DSA but eventually, there was still some vacancies for PSLE intake.Yes you are right
It is NUSHigh.
So what my friend told me is true. -

Not sure if this has been posted earlier. Here's a link to the list of secondary schools participating in DSA and their contact numbers. Their niche areas are listed too

sleepy:
Hi sleepy,
Is Science her best subject?TEA8008:
My DD is in GEP P6, she is just average in her class. DD is interested in Science and Art.
Her Science mark is just a little over 80 only, so not sure if she has chance to get DSA with Science.
Any other achievements like being seleted for masterclass or SPSO?
In terms of marks, Maths is slightly higher than Science. But she mentioned she does not like Math since P2/P3. I am still trying to persuade her to believe that she is good in Maths.
She has sat many ICAS exams, results are as below;
Science : High Distinction in P2 and P3, Distinction in P4, only Participation in P5
Maths : High Distinction in P3, Credit in P4 and P5
English : Distinction in P2 and P4, Credit in P3 and P5.
She got Bronze for National Mathematical Olympiad of Singapore by NUH-High, in P5.
Thanks for your advice. -

He has maths Olympiad since P4, won a silver before, CCA leader. Will these profile back him up well?

Only selected ones after the test will go for Camp and then further shortlisted ones will go for Interview. So I think all applicants (regardless of profile) have equal chance to perform well for the selection test to be shortlisted. You may want to post your query in NUS High thread since majority of the students there have gone through this DSA process before

Note that DSA criteria might change from year to year. So do look out for NUS High Open House or its website for the details of this year.
