Me Time!

JS :yikes: yes, glad to have you all back here! you still being your boy there the next day :nailbite: hope most mess been cleared up by then. your ds still talk about that on off? i feel sad for kids nowadays to see and read all these things, at such early stage
Your DS, like ammo's, is an introspective child.Funz:
DS on the other hand will wait for that quiet time before bed when it is just me and him and he will tell me what he is happy about, excited about or upset or bothered about. From young, he is a deep thinker. He will ask questions about death, about religion, perceived inequality, stuff like that.
I think when your child is willing to talk to you about such matters. It gives you the opportunity to steer his thoughts and opinions. I treasure all these moments, for there will come a time when they will stop confiding so much in us.
I exposed my kid to terrorism/crime/air crash news since 4. Once he shared about the Boston marathon bombing in kindy during their weekly newspaper review, but was told not to discuss such negative news in class. Such news may make them moody for a few days, but they WILL learn from such grim lessons. I did a Holocaust trail last Dec and preempted ds on the horrid exhibits he was about to come face to face with at the Auschwitz-Bikenau Museum@Krakow, Poland. Life isn't all that Beautiful. My boy was psychologically well-prepared and didn't flinch. However, he was a bit shaken after last Dec's Berlin Christmas Market terror attack, cos we were just there eating curry wurst 1.5h before the truck ploughed thru the market that killed 12. Same day, same spot. We cheated Death. PTL. Ds was worried sick about 2 jovial Germans who sold us the curry wursts and mulled wine, so we went back to to the scene to look at (read: confront reality) the carnage next morning. Stark juxtaposition of beautiful Christmas decorations and terror. In all, I covered 2 heavy topics in 1 trip: Genocide and Terrorism.
The most difficult topic for me is Religion. I cannot explain Judaism very well. I had a major migraine after our visit to the Jewish quarter in Prague. -
Most of my beauty products (except cleanser) always expires before I finish using them as most nights I just head to the bed without applying them. I always tell myself maybe when I hit 40, I must start to do it diligently but I think would be too late by then. :nailbite: Hearsay, best to start around 25.
I am not sure if for someone like me, who leaves home without make-up (only apply sunblock), can my face elasticity last longer w/o applying cream?
I have some SK11 products (1 used half way and 2 unopened) that were left on the shelve for more than a year already, can I still use them? I cannot find their expiry date leh. -
Don’t worry, when you see the lines appearing you will automatically start doing diligently. Lol!

I put my SKII products in the fridge and hope they can last longer since I seldom use them
Hope to have some ME time this late afternoon ... -

Every night I tell myself I will start tomorrow,
may I know how to change my lazy ways

DH said since already more than a year if I don't feel comfortable, I shouldn't apply on my face. But I feel it's such a waste so I just continue keeping them but resisted applying them. :clubmyself: -
Hi lee_yl,
Maybe this cosmetic calculator can help you in determining the expiry date.

Thanks all 'liang' mommies for the reminder. Sleep is indeed important. I slept early last night. Skincare routine, I m still lazy. I been treating my sleeping mask as all purpose cream. now using 3rd bottle. just slap on face after night face washing using cetaphil cleanser. have not been using toner for a long time :nailbite: eye cream..not even half bottle for past 1.5years :faint: lazy woman hor.
I'm lazy too - I use shower gel to wash my face, Nivea moisturiser/sunblock, and nothing else. Recently, I started using a cream at night which is supposed to reduce pigmentation, but not sure it works. But genes, sleep and a reasonably healthy diet does help. -
