        Get the following :-

        1. Primary School Oral Video Study Guide
        口试录像,应考秘笈 ($15)

        2. Thumbs Up 大拇指 - 看录像说话

        ...

May I know where to get #1. Who is the publisher.

DS MT teacher collated the orders.

I vaguely rmbr reading one KSP contributor mentioned purchase can be done cheaply thro collating orders to enjoy marked difference in price, then if you purchase individually.

At P6, my personal belief is not to waste time on school holidays programmed unless your child hv plenty of time to kill.

Truth is, P6 will hv loads of exam paper practices to familiarize with exam format & build momentum. It's a year to consolidate learning and close gaps in areas where child is still weak and brush up ready for PSLE, which is only abt 6-7 months to go.

Not sure what other parents' views are.
              thanks for the advice.
am thinking if the child do not have any tuition, will going these short term classes help them.

depends on whether you think your child needs help or not? P6 is the time for consolidation and lots of homework from school…if kid is not struggling but doing well, then perhaps no need to do something drastic or desperate measure like ST classes whose benefits might not be apparent.

I tend to agree that holiday programs don’t do much for kids, except for younger P1 & 2s to help fire their interests. It’s really paying high price for babysitting.

I agree P6 shld be consolidation time. Mark out areas of achievements & focus on improving areas of weaknesses. It’s more a time to bring them to awareness of P6 format & a year of PSLE exam paper practicing & build momentum.

Encourage our kids to persevere ano 6-7 months & then R&R or celebration of effort comes after 1st week of Oct.

                    hi

anyone has recommendation for english class or english writing class ?

Sorry I missed & realized I can offer recommendations:

                    1. Writers @ Work - 6463 2956
                    Level 2, King's Arcade
(Not sure other teachers but we found Ms Agnes good)

                    2. Academia
                    Sin Ming Plaza II
(Not sure other teachers but Mr Sherman Tseng - 9170 2867 is excellent)

We find TLL's materials good but the quality of teaching not consistent. If encounter a very young & inexperienced one, the fees can become very costly but your child waste a lot of time or get negative/discouraging experience.

I agree. Son in Chinese enrichment for past five years. This year due to Maths olympaid training clashes with his Chinese class. Took the risk to drop his Chinese tuition this year. Thank God he did better than before!

Agreed from now till Oct is to zero in weak areas and improve in it.
