OT: what are the symptoms for the knee ops? Cant walk properly and painful at knee? Thanks.

If you suffer pain, you should get it checked out. There could be many reasons which will need different treatments and ops depending on what the issue is.

One common reason is joint degeneration, and glucosamine can help in the initial stages. It doesn't work for everyone, it seems, but it's an easy thing to try. It has helped my husband (frequent runner) but over time, the joint will gradually continue to degenerate. My orthopedic surgeon relative says joints have a certain \"mileage\" (varies from person to person depending on physiology and useage) which gets consumed over time. At some point, they may need to be \"scrapped\" and replaced!

Could be due to meniscus tear, arthritis or joint worn out.
Dont wait too late to get it done or else one doesn't get to enjoy quality of life.

These few days I have been frequently using the word 'discharge', so it is stuck to my brain. Instead of asking what time daughter will be dismissed from school, I would ask what time she is discharged from school. Hubby took urgent leave as dad can't drive. Next week, more follow ups after discharge.
