Hi wondering if anyone has had experience getting their kids into Swiss cottage secondary via dsa route? My boy is keen to get into the school.

      Many thanks 🙂

        Chimidema:
        Can anyone help answer this?

If my child does not get into her first choice of Sec school through DSA but gets into her own school through DSA and accepts it, Assuming then her psle results are good enough to enter her original school of choice, am I able to

        1. Then reject her school's offer (through DSA) and then apply to her school of choice instead? Are there any repercussions?
        2. If her points are enough to enter her school of choice does that mean she would be offered a place if she applies, or does it still depend on the amount of spaces available?

        Thank you in advance
Once you had accepted the DSA (confirmed offer), you are not allowed to withdraw from it.

Swiss Cottage COP is around 240. It's better to try and enter the school by PSLE result (which isn't a high bar to clear), unless you are quite sure your boy isn't going to make the cut-off.

Do note that DSA, once accepted is non-revocable. If heng-heng (or suay-suay?) your boy did well enough to enter some of the 'elite' schools or even the IP track based on his PSLE results, there's nothing you can do about it once you have accepted the DSA offer.

Hmmm...I wouldn't say it's not a high bar since 240 is just a few points from the low end of the IP.
But anyway, you are right about missing out on IP if his score is on the high end of 240.

Ok, maybe wrong way of saying it
Notwithstanding, the key message being if you score higher than 240 or is eligible for IP, you can't turn back to reject the DSA offer.

P/S: High / low is just a matter of perspective 😉

What’s the min t-score to qualify for IP - 250?
