Anyone plans to bring your child to work next week? Wonder what the child can do in the office? :? :scratchhead:

I've read in the papers some time back that there is a school in singapore which invited parents to experience how the day of a student is like.

If only radin mas can do this too.....
Ha Ha.... Radin Mas is practising the opposite. They want the children to know working life. 😛

Planning to but have 2 hurdles to cross - boss and HR approval. To make it worst that I have back to back meeting on the 12th May... :?

They have given us parents very short notice to arrange it.

But it will be good that they can understand that we work hard to earn $$ for them to spend ....and perhaps they can be less demanding to us when the school has book/toys/science fairs again

I've not received the notification yet but dd told me abt it yesterday. She'll be going to work with Daddy. I've a friend who will also be depositing her son with my hubby.

She's looking forward to it.... but my hubby is not! hahaa....

Am thinking of asking hubby to give them work like photocopying and stamping.

Simple tasks like photocopying, filing ( which I hope he does not mess up) and arranging sample prototypes for me. I am also contemplating asking him to make coffee, clear rubbish...heee...heee. Let him know if he does not work/study hard now, he has to work really really hard in future to earn his keeps. :hi5:

i am thinking along the same line as famangelina31, asking him to photocopy/ filing. The rest, i think better leave it alone otherwise I got to clean up the mess on tues. hehe

if the parents are unable to bring them along to work, what will happen? Honestly, given a choice, I rather he stays at home.

                    Work Attachment

Hi all, I dropped the teacher-in-charge an email and she just rang me up.

Basically, the intent of this attachment is not really to make them work but more to understand working environment which they can co-relate to school, eg, being punctual for work (cannot be late for school), use of computer (they are learning in school now) etc…

BTW, Ms Leong said this is an initiative by the MOE.

I hope the above information helps.

I wonder how many companies actually allow children to use their computers....

This reminds me of one incident in the US on one air traffic controller. Anyone heard of the news then?

Perhaps not really letting them use the computer but explaining to them that we use computer in our course of work and they will eventually be able to use the skills they learnt in school as well.

Mayb letting them know that everything the school is teaching will helps them in life now or later???

Still half-hearted whether to bring him along. U planning to bring your son to your office?
