Just want to share my 2 cents. I have 2 children, one have transfer out of RVPS and another still in RVPS. If given another chance, I won't send any of my children to this school for various reasons.

Can you share with us your reasons?

          Hi all,

Heard from some parents the RVPS may ask very young teachers to teach P6 students, is that true?

          Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am asking on behalf of a colleague who has a son entering P1 next year. She stays within 2 km of RV primary but not within 1 km and wishes to know her chance of enrolling him successfully in this school. What has been the school’s balloting history?

            TIA.

My colleague just confirmed that her residential address just fall within 1 km to River Valley Pri School. 😓

Will she still need to ballot for a place?

                Hi,

I would like to know if the child attend the student care in RVPS. Will there still be any school bus that will send them home in the evening?

                  Hi there,

I am thinking of sending mum daughter to RV next year. Between this and my alma mater (which is further away), I am facing a big dilemma! Would you please share more about why your children did not like RV? Was it too stressful or the school environment? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

                  Thanks,
                  mom of two girls

                    Hi All

I am new here and is planning to place my son in RV, which is my alma mater, in about 3 years’ time. Is it old boys can get in easier ? Please advice.

                    Thanks

yes, if you are an alma mater alumni you will be able to apply for the school during an earlier phase (2A). but you will need to join the alumni and join early! good luck.

I was looking at the stats when phase 2B has just ended…RVP seems to have 90 places…I am 1-2km away from RVP registering for P2C next week. Alexandra primary seems to be a pretty popular choice compared to RVP, probably due to its P and VP. Any folks with experience does RVP typically need balloting for 1-2km? Is it a less popular choice now? If yes, for the reason above? Seems like P and VP play a big part…Next yr if CPS gets a top school P or VP, maybe it also need balloting?
