Anyone knows do we need to get testimonials from teachers? Or do they give?

No testimonial. It is school policy that no testimonial would be given. At least that's the case for my kids' school.
Understandable. Imagine how many testimonials teachers would have to write every year during DSA application period.

I think this this is answered in the FAQ
            \t
If I am successful in Direct School Admission - Secondary (DSA-Sec) Exercise but I am eligible to study in more than one course [e.g. Express / Normal (Academic)], can I select the course of my preference?
Successful DSA-Sec candidates who have obtained Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) aggregates which put them in the course option [the Express/Normal (Academic) or Normal (Academic)/ Normal (Technical)] are allowed to indicate their preferred course of study in the school allocated, provided that the school offers both courses.

what I heard from the grapevine is that MGS and SCGS choose the best ballet or related dancers in SG and most of the girls chosen belong to certain dance schools only (ie it’s an exclusive club in other words). You should find out directly from the MGS ballet DSA girls if this is true…
