Maybe we can kick each other. πŸ˜‚ Now that ds2's exams are finally over, I am going to take out all my files and devour them ... TOMORROW! :rotflmao:

Janet, must be hard on you :hugs: ..try to go slow and have more patience with your dd, it is something that she will not want if she has the choice 😒 I know (and luckily) you are disciplined and patient.

i am taking baby steps with her...every little improvement is an achievement, but i must see that she has put in effort. this year in sec 1, she seems to have improved quite a bit. i am contended she stays in NA as express stream is too fast paced and stressful for her. her math teacher gives her express worksheets and seems to be keen to push her to sec 2 express for math...i rather she does NA math, do well and be confident instead of struggling.

Who needs kicking? Lai, lai, I am in a kicking mode.

Helper kenna from me these few days. She really slackened a lot. Kids and DH has been complaining about missing socks, undies, clothes, etc. Checked and found that laundry is done, she just did not sort them out and put them into the respective cupboards. She is also not cleaning the toilets as frequently and lately, not washing our cars unless we reminded her to. Made her clean out the fridge and pantry. OMG, she really got it from me when I saw the stuff that has been languishing in my fridge.

Staff also received a reminder from me this week, a lot of them have paperwork and admin backlog that has been piling up. Made them do a mini housekeeping of all their respective areas. Rolled out a few projects so all of them are scrambling to get their respective parts done.

Kids well, not spared either. Exams are done this week. Time to clear out their rooms. Depending on results, we shall see how much work needs to be done this holiday. Confirm DD will need some help with her Chinese, so told her to check with her friends if any of them are attending any good tuition centre or have any recommendation. Told her to do some googling to find out more about some of the more reputable centres that are near our place.

Really, people cannot be left to idle. Once they start idling, even things that are normal day to day stuff will be left undone eventually. The problem is figuring out what is the optimum amount of work that one should handle, without it becoming too stressful.

Does puppy need a kicking too?

Most tend to idle after a while. Who wants to be hard on themselves? Idle time = ME time. That is why I love this thread.

Your dd learns to take charge of her learning which is excellent
                      Keep it up πŸ™‚

I think puppy also has too much idle time, so much so that he is tearing my house apart! Chewed on my sofa, chewed up DH's slippers, chewed on the floor skirting. All these are actually signs of boredom. I have been busy lately so not much time to bring him out, so these 2 weeks, he has been rather destructive. Too much pent up energy.
