Hace a nice holiday, slmkhoo :rahrah:
Thanks! I intend to! Now thinking about UK again, having spent quite a bit of time (among handling the other stuff) on booking our NZ holiday. I'm getting confused!
Sooo fun. Have a fantabulous time, slmkhoo. You'd get some withdrawals at first, knowing that you wd be away fr your girls. By day 3, ahhh... freedom. Hahaschweppes:
.... I still have a some stuff to complete for my volunteer work which I need to get done soon as my husband and I go on vacation next week. I also need to get out my warmer clothing and get the house stocked up for the kids.

May I ask what field that temp job is?
if i m not wrong to fill in the period of a staff on long leave or clear backlog/mess ba. need to go office. -
MrsKiasu:
Data and clerical work does not pay much, unless it is related to legal work etc. Sometimes the field matters more than the nature of work.ammonite:

if take that as an example, data entry
$10/hr, would any mommies take? -
MrsKiasu:
I never worked in the legal field, actually. I went \"off-track\" early and became a librarian and then a SAHM! I'm currently doing freelance editing when I can get projects. I only went into this a couple of years back so I'm not willing to try something new again so soon. I'll see how things go later in the year and decide whether to try for another PT job or whether I can get a reasonable flow of freelance projects that don't pay too little.ammonite:

I think the problem with my age and qualifications is that potential employers probably don't take me seriously for PT work (usually more junior). And they are still not used to taking on PT employees for higher levels. -
Timing too. Market is quite bad now.
