Pls check with interested school, GAT has been scrapped for many schools this year.


In any case, GAT is a series of 30 questions testing the pupil’s logical reasoning ability ie pattern and series.

Yes, I have verified with the school website that GAT is not required this year! The changes are really fast and furious as of DD1 's turn just last year.

Hi, can consider MGS. But MGS DSA sports only for O level track, not for IP track.

If you want your girl to join an IP school, can consider RGS.

true. quite a lot of changes in the DSA policy recently.

Actually for DSA dance seriously how many can get in to schs like MGS cos competition is so high. Like P4/5/6 sa1 results must dunno get how high like 80% and for sota is like no specifications and parents are in the dark. Although my DD marks is good but it is a neighbourhood sch not even strong dance pri girls’ school like Methodist Primary, Raffles Girls, Haig’s Girls or St Margaret’s Girls school whose Sch exams are so tough so how do all these can be compared during DSA selection. No apple to apple more like apple to orange then how??? Alr now I feel the competitiveness so stressed.

I feel for MGS SMSS SNGS SCGS hard as got affliated pri sch and allocation will be mainly their own pri gals? Correct me if I m wrong. At least from my other friends with experience in previous years it is like this. They probably talented spotted their own pri girls for DSA??


My gal is trying only SOTA dance since she wans but I am not really hopeful. Paid $3.5K for her DSA preparation. Friends with DD attending AQ dance, Dance Trilogy paid even more . Close to 15K no joke for my friend whose DD is in Dance Trilogy according to her huh. 3K plus i alr bleed like siao. At least the full-length photos and video are professionally taken with the ballet teacher corrections for the poses and during the dance video. Going to eat grass if DD does not get the coveted CO. My colleague DD enrolled in a 4K course for Theatre training. All money money money to enter SOTA.

If applying via CCA leadership, does it mean must stick to the same CCA if DSA is successful?

$15k?!!!!
I looked at the dance videos submitted. Honestly only 2 or 3 are truly outstanding, coincidentally from the same studio. The rest so-so only.....to spend $15k.....I hope she is the outstanding one!!!
