i am thinking along the same line as famangelina31, asking him to photocopy/ filing. The rest, i think better leave it alone otherwise I got to clean up the mess on tues. hehe

if the parents are unable to bring them along to work, what will happen? Honestly, given a choice, I rather he stays at home.

        Work Attachment

Hi all, I dropped the teacher-in-charge an email and she just rang me up.

Basically, the intent of this attachment is not really to make them work but more to understand working environment which they can co-relate to school, eg, being punctual for work (cannot be late for school), use of computer (they are learning in school now) etc…

BTW, Ms Leong said this is an initiative by the MOE.

I hope the above information helps.

I wonder how many companies actually allow children to use their computers....

This reminds me of one incident in the US on one air traffic controller. Anyone heard of the news then?

Perhaps not really letting them use the computer but explaining to them that we use computer in our course of work and they will eventually be able to use the skills they learnt in school as well.

Mayb letting them know that everything the school is teaching will helps them in life now or later???

Still half-hearted whether to bring him along. U planning to bring your son to your office?

Thank you. Gosh...then i think in general our office is not such a good place to learn about punctuality. We dont really have to reach office at exactly the same time everyday...he probably question me why some of the people come in late :?

hi famangelina, that was 1 of the points she mentioned.

Perhaps, she can learn other things, like team work in getting a task done, etc....?

I think to the schoo, it is another ECA but this activity seems to freak parents out. hehe. :?:

Wow agree with you all that that would be difficult to bring a child to the workplace if the employer is not supporting type. Also wonder what can the child really learn & do in the workplace.

Yes, i think it is freaking us out  , imagine what havoc will it create :nailbite: and also the short notice period given is not helping....

Just talk to my HR, although they are ok.. one can sense the apprehension. Not every company is that family oriented/ friendly.

Looks like I cant bring my son to office bcos there is a BIG SHOT coming in next week....hv to think of alternative plans...sigh :scratchhead:

Have to. We don't have other people to look after him. I will bring him to my office for half a day, though. Perhaps the destruction caused will be more manageable? 😉

haha, i guessed we probably ends up spending more time explaining the work to them than actually working on that day.
