      Liangbrolovesoccer:
Think most JCs allow that, as long as you show talent or capacity in the area you applied for and that the college can support you on it (if not then idk what to say lah). Just submit and see how it goes. Just call the college directly to confirm on the procedures if unsure, cfm der staff will be more den willing to help.

Oh ic, will share this with them. Thanks for the info! 🙂

This is a useful website for prospective DSA students. If you scroll down, you will manage to see some of the A level results of the students who had DSA to NYJC. The average rank points obtained from the examples shown hovered around 80+.

"In recent years, Nanyang Junior College has witnessed tremendous raise in its admission standards, placing the institution as one of the top five junior colleges in Singapore based on entry points. As the top non-IP junior college since 2016, Nanyang Junior College has proved its consistent results in the GCE Advanced Level national examination, faring well above national average for many subjects.

For the past decade, the college has nurtured six Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholarship holders, a notable record among the nation’s established institutions"
                  Above extracted from ‘NYJC Wikipedia’.

Just heard from my niece that her cohort is not interested in graduation prom night this year. She said dat the CT reps were told only around 40 to 50 people going, and the classes were planning for chalets only after everyone finished their A levels. Tho one thing she say the thing is too expensive (she mentioned their prom is $90 when other JCs like HCJC had theirs at $60 at Gardens by the Bay)

Is it legit? Its the first time I am hearing something like this in this generation, so hardworking and reckoning till laidat… 😮

It will be a shame if they were to miss prom. Although there were no such prom in my generation, I would really encourage our DCs to go for them, since it is a one in a life time thing after all. Maybe they will have a change of plans? :xedfingers: $90 seems a little pricey to me but could it be other factors that contribute to the higher costs? Maybe the venue, hosts, activities, food etc. Do you happen to know where's the venue for NYJC's prom?
