Hi everyone,

For anyone looking for maids, pls beware of Carlton Resources. This maid agency in fact charged us $2000 for one month of help. We was recommended a transfer maid from Indonesia by this person called Calvin from This agency. He said that the previous owner was very bad made The Maid hand washed 7 people clothes etc and forced her to eat pork. We thought we should be fine as we have a washing machine and a dryer and a robot to mop the floor. We employed her and treated her nicely just need to help with housework. After one month she requested to be sent back to agency out of the blue. On a week day when we just about to go to work. My Husband had to hurry back from work to send her back. Her reason was that my baby cry too much. But my Mum was the one taking care of my baby cos The Maid cannot feed the baby at all. Anyway we sent her back agency. Agency requested more than 1000 plus again to get a new maid. I needed to bear the lodging fee of 15 dollars per day, the levy and the insurance for another 21 days even though she stopped working with us already. The agency did not even cancel the work permit even though she stopped working with us after one month. When we ask for refund they say cannot refund any part of the agency placement fee at all, so effectively we are paying $2000 for one month of help. With all the my patience, I told them it is quite unreasonable and I hope they understand that this will affect their reputation if they do business this way. They say please post to social media! I have tried maid power, service good they don't advertise on internet and I got fresh maid from them who was excellent and few girls who came same time with my ex maid, they all finished contract, hard working.( From Philippine)

I have tried Anisya ... ( free web for maid and employer)total nightmare, girl whom I interviewed seem quiet and finished all her contacts but as soon as she set a foot in my house she started to demand Wifi, money for toiletries, money for top up... etc etc all within 3 hours of arriving..
Anyway eventually we had to send her back and she threaten to run away..
We gave her 1month salary in lieu if notice and police arrived as she made so much noise.
NO AGENT= free? No... when things go bad then you are stuck with crazy maid and u have to do the all the work by yourself!
Eventually I engaged JLW maid agency and got Myanmar agent called Kyi Aye, very nice lady and I stuck with this agency because Kyi Aye is very trustworthy, unfortunately that don't mean good maids though... I have had couple of Sotong maids that had to be rtn to agency.
My current maid ( Myanmar) is finishing 3yrs from Kyi Aye recommendation and going home.

I have engaged another agency as JLW don't have girls I'm looking for currently. I just hope new girl will work out.
In the end, its luck ... even agent bad if you are lucky then u can get gold but if you are not so lucky u pick a rubbish stone from diamond mine...
I don't like Katong very much but I did go with a gf to help me to select as my friend have a sharp eye.

Maid we hired ran away after 2days!!
Agent at Katong not doing much to help!
Now I google their agency , have a lot of bad reviews and all sound like my problem!!
How to get back Maid loan?? Almost $4000
Agent fee $800!!
Omg... maid allowed to cook Indonesian food and spoke to her family then next day she disappeared.
Condo CCTV caught her leaving building at 4am!!
Lesson learnt, find out AGENCY FIRST!!!
Even girl is not great a good agency can help you! Bad agency and crazy/ homesick maid is a lot of headache and stress!

I'm going back to my old agent... at least she never cheat me or give me trouble!
I appreciate her a lot more now!!

Now... how to get my loan back from KATONG agency, how to find maid??!!

Hi all,

We have been hiring maids from one of the maid agency for last 6 years.This time when we hired a Indonesian transfer maid in January,she worked only for one & half months and wanted a transfer.We did mention to the agency but they were not keen in finding a transfer maid in replacement. Since the maid did not want to work,we had no maid for a month. They insisted we take a new one,which we did.The 2nd maid after working for 2months now wants to transfer as well.We seem to have been caught in a trap.The new ones who come in have adjustment problems and miss home.
The agency tells us they don’t have any transfer maids.
What should we do?

If you need a maid agency with good customer service, I recommend the one I'm using right now. The name of Maid Agency I'm using right now is http://www.swiftmaids.com.sg/. I have used their service for about 3 years now and I can say that I'm satisfied with how they handle customer problems. In fact, I have similar problem just last year but when I contacted them they managed to solve the problem swiftly.

Previously i got my helper from ISLAND MAIDS. can try them also. I was served by the staff name zhi yong. his service not bad, even my helper now a bit sotong, but whenever I need help to translate or talk to the maid he always help. agency price reasonable also. but most importantly is we found a good agent like him, who never forget after service. Thankful for that

I have been looking around for a maid for my elderly father who was recently diagnosed with cancer; I must have gone thro’ at least 30 agencies, reviewed over 100 bios, and met about 20 helpers. Here are my humble conclusion - go with a smaller owner-run agency instead of the big Four. At Nation (supposedly the largest in Singapore), the agent paraded 20 maids in front of me and my mom and asked us to "choose one!" Smaller owner-run agencies are more personal and really committed to their reputation and credibility, and of course to make money as well.As the helper pool is smaller, these smaller agencies tend to screen their helpers more carefully to avoid replacements and transfers. Here are 2 I would recommended: OneClick at Kreta Ayer (near Chinatown) ask for Angela or James (owners), and R.C. Employment at Everton Park (near SGH) ask for Rozie (owner). I found my helper from one of them but both agencies were very helpful and attentive even when i watched them dealt with other clients with young kids. Finally, do go to the MoM website to check the ratings of agencies and agents. Good luck. Daddy

yea previously we also took helper from Island MAID before, now my maid almost finished 2 yrs contract without giving me any issues. i think the service quality of the agency really matter alot for employer like us who in search for helper endlessly, somemore i only believe in CASE trust company which alot of agencys dun have. i think can call them and ask more if you guys looking for good maid 67577703
