Any good kid's robotics holiday program to recommend ?

find out from the course provider if group work is needed during the course. if so, better to get someone familiar (friend, cousin etc) to sign up with your kid to form a group, else you will run the risk of having your kid team up with a more aggressive kid and your kid will just sit there the whole day and learn/do nothing. pre-empt your kids on such instances so that they can take positive steps to ensure that they get to contribute to the building of the robot. don’t rely solely on course administrator to engage the children. 2 cents

The highly regarded and versatile LEGO NXT kit is used. Students to Robot ratio is set at 3:1 maximum.
We encourage kids to work together as a team as this is something they have to learn to do sooner or later in life anyway. However each student will be given specific roles and the roles are rotated. All major robotics competitions including the NJRC require teams to have 4 - 5 students and FLL with teams of up to 10 students.
Interested parties can also purchase a set of brand new NXT at a discount at the end of the course if they wish to explore and learn more. -

Hi
I am a computer and electronics engineer and currently i am teaching kids computer animation programming, suitable for kids 7 and above.
My purpose of posting however is related to robotic class for kids and teenage.
I intend to start a small robotic class on a long term basis, prefer kids 12 yrs and above but will see the sign up and group appropriately based on their level. Will be teaching Computer programming and robotics together, with electronics and circuitry design for more advanced level later. Are there anyone interested? This will be started as a small group, preferably 3 persons, and everyone will get to assemble their own robot at the end of the day. Let me know if anyone interested or their kids are keen on it.
