      just happened to know from a friend that as of Feb this year, it is also rated as the third largest bank in the world by market capitalization.

        ICBC is a very safe and very large bank. We used it for many years whilst in China. They have a large network all over China and in many locations in each city. You can feel at ease if you have money invested there.

                        I guess if u are worried about how safe your $ will be, just stick to what can be covered by the deposit insurance act per depositor per bank, then it doesn’t really matter if it’s Bank A, B or C.

                        OT : this deposit insurance thingy, the depositors are the ones funding the premiums for it indirectly right?
