Dear all
There’s a little thing which bothers me a lot. I’m living in a huge GRC, and looking to start on some grassroot work in my NC/RC this year, before it’s too late. However, in 1-2 years, I would like to move over to another neighbourhood in the same GRC, within 1km of the school of choice. Now I’m not too sure if my service/membership progress would be carried over to the new NC/RC in the same GRC? Or do I have to serve within the initial NC/RC for 2.5 year, even after I moved away?
Big thanks in advance -

Your volunteer status does not move automatically when you shift house, its up to the RC/NC in the new estate whether they can accept you. And you cannot continue as an EM in your previous estate when you update your home address. So there is a chance that you might be caught in a situation where you can't qualify for 2B.Dear all

Hi, can I know if the primary school to be selected are based on planning area or under which GRC?

Can grassroot \"member\" get the endorsement letter? anyone? :thankyou:

I got two questions here which have puzzled me for days. :imdrowning: [list=]

1. If I were to be the grassroot \"Member\" - NOT an executive member. Would I be eligible to get the Endorsement letter for Phase 2B?
2. Based on the new rule, does the 2-years duration refer to total duration ( Observer + Member) or the duration of RC member?
Really confused... -

Oh no... Thanks for your info. Is there website where I can read up on the eligibility criteria? Thanks!

You will unfortunately be too late - we are a class example - signed up for RC around this time 2 years ago and got confirmed in August/ Sept 2015 after being observer for some time. But we fell 3mths short of phase 2B, and were told no way to appeal... this is despite the fact my hb is active in RC. -
To Chuppy,
Oh my… so you signed up the RC as the observer in Jun-2015, and confirmed in Sep-2015? I have signed up for more than a year, but still not confirmed as RC Grassroot member…: (
Besides, the two years duration is from Sep-2015 ~ Sep-2017. Right? -

1) only EM are entitled to get p2b letter.
What kind of grassroot \"members\" are you referring to? If it's still observer, nope you can't.
2)2 years duration refer to your tenure as EM (does not include observer). So you have to give yourself safely 3 years time from date of registration (let's just say worse case scenario you are only promoted to EM after a year).
Hope this helps

It all depends the supply & demand in the RC committee. A friend of mine just 3 months get EM. Another friend slog like hell wait wait after 1 year still Observer. The earlier you get EM mean the ticket to Phase 2B is confirm.

Does anyone know how \"many\" volunteers are there in an RC group at any time ? Phase 2B is coming - wonder how many grassroot volunteers in my area the PVs (am one of them
) have to compete with.
