I was looking to switch to an MPV. Aging parents and me being the only driver among us sisters so an MPV makes sense. Waited with bated breath for the BMW MPV but was very disappointed.

Booked and waiting for the Odyssey. Would have gotten the X3 if not for the need for more space. Was drooling over the Range Rover Velar but no lah. Parents will have problems getting in and out. Still the Jap MPVs more practical.

Would you think you could adapt to driving a non BMW after so many years?
Hubby seems to be affixed on BMW car.

Haha. I know some people have this fixation. Once driven a conti car they don't want to go back to driving Jap cars. Think it is a status symbol thing. DH is also like that.

I've had conti and jap and conti and jap. Owned VW, Audi, BMW, interspersed with Toyota and Honda. I will get whatever make sense for my needs at that moment. If I can afford, I may go a bit flashy just for the fun of it but at the end of the day, the car has to address my needs. So for now, I need more seats or more boot space bcos of the dog, easy access for my parents and comfort for all. And since I am driving the MPV, DH can indulge his everlasting midlife crisis and go for a coupe or convertible

I am using the Mazda 2 for around 6 years...Need some changing of parts though.I love it to bits anyway.

I don't really trust my wife with it haha.

using a toyota vios for the past 5 years. practical and petrol consumption is reasonable.

Initially, I wanted the Prius but took the 2011 Mazda 2 instead. My Mazda 2 consumes a bit more petrol as I fitted a turbo kit and sports muffler to make it more sporty.

My wife has always gets the jitters when she hears the sound of the turbo hissing and the sound coming from the sports muffler when I drive her haha. She thinks I am speeding haha. But I always keep to the legal speed limit.

Maybe I was not too familiar with the Prius back then.

Ladies, I just scrapped my 10 year old BMW. It was a big hassle towards the end but overall was a good car. I enjoyed driving it very much.

So what is your next car?

does bm consume more petrol? i test drive one and it seems to be and dh mentioned his frien’s one too…till now i m quite happy with mine…though smalish, petrol consumption (better if on expressway but too bad ours mostly city drive still i think it is ok) and road tax is easier on pocket. hope it keeps up. for me, the more important determinants are more on monthly expenses the functionality.

Just checking…where can I change the colour of the backlight illumination of my dashboard as the backlight illumination of my Mazda 2 is red.Would like to change to white or light blue because my default color is red and quite irritating to my eyes when I face it esp at night.

Will need to get a voltmeter, turbo boost meter, oil pressure and water temperature meters too.

i like the prius c. enough to get from point A to B. low petrol consumption rate.

but it is more important to get a new flat so that i can go loan free :xedfingers: ie after using my present flat to pay off. even if i need to take a loan, it should not be too high.
everything in my place is old and it would be costly to repair. besides i want a change of environment after staying here for 18 years.

I have registered my interest in Bukit Batok. Really hope I am successful in the exercise.
It will be exciting if we can get a flat in the few blocks we like.

Reminds me of the time when me and my wife chose and collect the keys to our flat.

Meanwhile, just finished talking to the wife about DD2 and what happened today. Finally going to zzz soon.
