Congrats! Very close, with just 10 spare places

SNGS was very close too, with just 7 spare places.

Dragon year babies next year, be prepared for balloting at these 2 schools for 2A1.

All schools in SG have no need for balloting in Phase 2A1.

In NYPS, there were many parents who went back to school at 4:30pm to check the number of people who registered. Haha.

However, there will be many schools that is likely to ballot in 2A2.

Definitely. NYPS, SNGS are two that will definitely have balloting.

dragon year babies will always have to face this problem....but the number of babies born in 2012 are far much lesser than 2000.

You can also add Nan Hua to the list of definitely; Rosyth, Red Swastika, Catholic High and MGS in the likely category.

Yes, but the supply side of the equation has also been affected. There are less places available now compared to 12 years ago.

there is a surge usually in hot years like rabbit, dragon, horse and significant ones like SG50. other than that, the falling birth rate is worrying.

Hi parents, what are your takes on whether ATS will need balloting for phase 2B for <1km? Thanks!

Till date, 72% of the available places have already been taken up. It's a pretty high number no matter how you look at it, and there's still 2A2 to come. Unless so heng that SHHK members are mainly staying > 1km (which is impossible to tell at the moment), I think balloting < 1km for Phase 2B is most likely the outcome.

Last year Tiger babies already had balloting for this category right? So this year Rabbit year I predict balloting also. And probably less chance statistically to get a lucky ball chosen. Whether or not you want to try depends on what is your risk appetite.
