So how much are the fees?friednemo:
Hi Mummies,
I have sorta confirmed my son's place at Pats Whitley.
Hi, I have just registered for my son at Pats Whitley as well for next year Nursery. How about you? This centre, being new, is very pleasing and I love the large music room - hope they really make full use of this for the kids!
The past couple of months searching for a play-based pre-school for my son has been extremely stressful. I searched the web and narrow down to Little Skoolhouse, Learning Vision, Kinderland and YMCA. Firstly I was quite surprise at the prices as they are not cheap ie. ranging between SGD700 to SGD1,000. Secondly I was even more surprised that all these places are fully packed with no vacancies at all!
After I gave up on all these places, I decided to go \"up market\" to Patschoolhouse since I thought being \"up market\", surely there must be vacancies right? WRONG! I called Halifax and Buckley and was rejected straightaway due to long waiting list. Was deciding between Pat Mount Emily who is accepting registration now or Pat Whitley which is nearer my place. Finally just go with Pat Whitley who can confirm a place for me already for next year!

Hello!can anyone help me?
my boy was in Jan '06, my question is whether is he supposed to join N2 or K1 now? Learning vision told me this morning that he will only go to K1 next Jan but staffs from pats said he can starts in august? confusing!
Sorry for the late reply but I just managed to dig out the fee schedule from Patschoolhouse!
Programme as follows:
Nursery = Year child turns 4
K1 = Year child turns 5
K2 = Year child turns 6
Since your child was born in Jan '06, I guess he should be in Nursery this year 2010. However because he is a January baby, there may be a choice to start one year earlier? Some schools like Learning Vision goes by Calendar Months of birth ie. 30 to 36 months is in Playgroup etc. So you need to check with the pre-school itself for your son's case which class he should be in!

Hi Terry,
So how much are the fees?
Fees as follows (all inclusive of GST):
Extended Full Day 7am to 7 pm = SGD 1,391
Full Day 1 am to 5.30 pm = SGD 1,284
Extended Half-day 7 am to 3 pm = SGD 1,177
Half Day (AM) = SGD 963, (PM) = 823.90
Have you decided on which pre-school already?

Hello Rainbow,Hi Mummies,

I have enrolled my son for Nursery next year hence no first-hand experience to share with you.
However, I can share that I made my decision after visiting the centre and talking to the Principal. This branch is new hence the teachers are new. There is currently a construction going on next door and the day I was there they were doing piling work and we could feel the tremours on the classroom floor!
Suggest you make an appointment to go down and have a look during class-time at about 10 am so that you can get a first hand feel. All the best!

Depending on which level of nursery your child is going to, i would suggest having a chat with the Principal and the teachers themselves. Most of the teachers in Whitley are new to Pat's. My child used to go to Whitley.Hi Mummies,

Hello Windie!
Considering that Pat Whitley only started operations this year, you must have just placed your child there for a short while? Did you have any bad experience there?
Not that I am hoping to hear a lot of complains since I have more or less decided to place my kid there but you can pm me to share if you like!
Cheers!

Compared to some other preschools, I noticed that Patβs nursery classroom seems provide very little colourful posters, letters, pictures and even fewer toys. Any parents share the same sentiment?
I have seen some franchise preschools with very vibrant and colourful picture, words, letterland pasted on the wall. Also, they provide more variety types of toysβ¦
