      Kidsmummy:
My DD also rejected by NUSH.. they ask to apply through Supplementary Intake Exercise. Anyone went through this??

Hi yes my friend gal took the sup intake 2yrs ago but was not successsful though she met the criteria I m not sure why though

Sup intake only available if during dsa period some vacancies r not taken therefore they will hv sup intake however if all dsa applicants take up all the offer then there will be no sup intake that's what I u/s

Below is an extract fm nush hope it is of some use to you

      B. SUPPLEMENTARY INTAKE EXERCISE

The Supplementary Intake Exercise (SIE) is subject to vacancies available on the day of release of PSLE results. The application is open only to current P6 students who have taken the PSLE and who have not been admitted to a school through the DSA-Sec Exercise.

Applicants who are interested to apply to NUS High School via the SIE should also concurrently take part in the MOE Secondary one (S1) Posting Exercise for the posting of Secondary School and Third Language (if applicable). Successful SIE applicants who have accepted the NUS High School SIE’s offer will not be posted to another school under the S1 Posting Exercise. However, if the applicants have opted for Third Language in the S1 Posting Exercise, it will still be processed based on their Third Language choices.

Selection of applicants in the SIE will be based on the PSLE results and portfolio which includes primary school academic results. In addition, only selected candidates will be invited to attend a Selection Interview. Applicants with an aggregate score of 250 with A* in both Math and Science are encouraged to apply.

Interested applicants must register online and submit the hardcopy of portfolio from the 1 to 14 November 2017 to NUS High School Annex Office. Only applicants who have registered online are able to complete the application by submitting their PSLE results online when the PSLE results are released. Applicants who missed the online registration will not be able to participate in the SIE.

Don't mind can I check, is your son very involved in maths Olympiad ( award winners) or science Olympiad? And good results in maths and science from P4 to P6 ( above 85?)??

Just trying to get a feel how stringent the requirement is for nush dsa. Thanks.
