Hi,
Anybody know about the dance audition for dsa at Dunman? Anybody can advise if they have to come up with their own dance and music for audition? Or on the spot just dance? -

I thought for all dance auditions, you must come prepared with your own choreography. On the spot how to dance? Dance to what? I know at first they are required to do stretching and basic steps etc and then after that to showcase their dance piece prepared for the audition.Hi,

Hi,
Any parents (or ex-students), whose child (or have friends) DSA-ed into DHS via sports or music, can share their experiences? Both DSA audition/interview experience or the studying (and coping?) aspect experience?
How often do DSA students fail to meet the mark for IP and asked to do O level and then posted to other schools/JC/Poly?
TIA -

Thanks Imp75! I heard from some parents who went for the Open House this year that it was communicated to them min 80% for Sports DSA. Maybe the raise is partly due to the removal of GAT? Now have to wait for their email to see if shortlisted or not!
Was surprised to receive email invitation for badminton trial on 20 Jul although my DS P6 S1 average was only 70%. His P5 average was 78%. -

That's interesting to know. Could it be that your DS is very good in Badminton?mommyNg:

My DS plays competatively. Above average, not among the best. In any case, DHS would not be able to tell since I only submit academic results. I noted that unlike previous years, DHS website this year only mention must have good results but did not quantify the %. Hence we just submit. -

But you do need to submit hardcopies of his CCA achievements, no? In any case, :congrats: for being shortlisted for trial!

Thanks. The cca achivements are indicated in the copies of the report book. Nothing spectacular. Just captain of a weak school team. Perhaps DHS needs a wider base for selection as its c boys this year is quite weak.
