I decided to pick up reading again instead of focusing on \"oppa\"

Have you tried borrowing ebooks from NLB? I love them! Can borrow any time on any day, don't have to worry about overdues, can increase font size (important for older eyes!). I use a no-glare ereader, not a tablet.

        Slmkhoo

May I ask how to borrow ebooks? Need to pay?
Somehow I still prefer to holding the book physically

As long as you are a member of NLB, you can sign up to borrow ebooks FOC. I switched when I was living overseas as English books were so hard to get hold of. I loved it that I could borrow ebooks from NLB even when living overseas. Now I find the convenience of ebooks so great that I rarely borrow physical books unless there is something I specifically want to read which I can't get as an ebook. Since I mostly read fiction and am not too fussy, I find the choice of ebooks ample. I read about 3 books a week, so it really saves me time and effort.

I use Overdrive app for ebooks. You need a digital id which you can get at the library.

What do you usually read? Hobby books don’t translate well to e-format.

Hi,Janet....Hope your DH recovers soon. There will sure be some tensions or frustrating moments on the road to recovery.Just be more patient with him lol.

Training will end earlier so will be flying back on next Wednesday.Hooray!

              Hi fish fingers,
How is your wife? Is she recovering well?

She is recovering thanks but cannot teach PE yet.Back already at work.MIL's sister(the girls' grandaunt)lives a few blocks away from my block so she is available to help out too.

Even in the US,I am shortlisting a few schools that the girls can attend next year. They got their PRs approved too.

In times of sickness or injury, there will sure be times when the victim gets irritated or frustrated. My wife has got to put up with my moods when I got injured in soccer matches last time with broken nose and concussions.

Patience is the key ingredient,my friend...

my peeve is this patient refuses to rest his eyes...i'm diligently putting eye drops every 3 hours but when i turn my back, he is surfing net. can't he understand his eyes are very important? :stompfeet:

with your MIL and her sister to help out, your wife and princesses are in good hands. when they eventually study in SG, it will be easier for everyone.

Your DH same as me...My wife don't call me iron teeth for nothing.

Try taking away everything that uses his eyes?

My wife told me when she went to finalise the PR procedures for the girls, she filled up their nationalities as Malaysians and their place of birth as Penang,Malaysia.

Now she kan cheong and called me this morning cos she was worried that she might fill in the wrong information.

Assured her that everything she filled in is as correct as normal.

so men are mostly stubborn species? here i am worrying for his eyes and he doesn't seem to give a damn  his eyes!!!

i can't go anywhere because i have to put eye drops every 3 hours. oh yes, he is like a big baby as well.

btw, i thought you're applying for Singapore Citizenship for your girls? fees are almost free, except for miscellaneous.

Ah sorry,I kept thinking they got PR.My mistake....they got Singapore Citizenship instead.

My wife told me when she went to finalise the SC procedures for the girls, she filled up their nationalities as Malaysians and their place of birth as Penang,Malaysia.

Assured her that everything she filled in is as correct as normal.Anything wrong,ICA will call her up to verify the details.

Thought of Canberra Pri,Naval Base Pri and Yishun Pri schools. All three are the nearest to my camp.Thought can bring the girls to school first before dropping my wife off at her school in the morning.

We had been trying for a 3rd child for 2 months now.Felt that we are still young and recently when my wife went to see the doctor because of her sprained ankle, the doctor dropped her a bombshell and warned her to be careful because she is carrying another life inside her.MIL was quite happy and decided to stay put to take care of my wife until the baby is born.

Yes,I am going to be a dad again.

Hooray! She wanted to tell me when I go home next week but she just wanted to share the good news with me asap.

To be honest,I am elated. It does not matter if it is a boy or girl.I don't mind 3 girls though.

But the age gap between the girls and the baby will be almost 12 years. Will it cause any sibling rivalry or problems between the baby and her 2 zehzehs?Especially when I have a DD2 who is super sticky to me.
