I have a friend who spoke highly of the school. She got 2 kids there (P5 and P2). She said some of the teachers are very caring especially a Chinese teacher who would pay special attention to those who are weaker in Chinese.

Dr Chin is very approachable and my DS loved to talk to him.

Dr Chin would have little quiz games with the children and he gave out little token prizes to the winners. And he is not stingy on his praises too.

DS often spoke fonding of him.

Dr. Chin is very approacheable. Children loves him.

In my time, student will run far far away from principals.

In this school, what I see is children from far far will come to Dr. Chin and greet him, and tell him what they are doing etc., and Dr. Chin will talk to them giving his full attention.

              Ref: TNS/2010/178

              6 May 2010

              Dear Parents/Guardians,

SCHOOL DECLARED HOLIDAY ON 14 MAY 2010

To celebrate and commemorate the great efforts, achievement and successes of our pupils and teachers at the recent Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) and the various Inter-Primary and national competitions (details can accessed via our school website: http://www.taonan.moe.edu.sg ), we are pleased to inform you that the school has declared Friday, 14 May 2010 a school holiday for all our P1 and P2 pupils. Hence, your child/ward need not report to school on that day.

As pupils of certain levels in the AM session will be taking their examinations, P3 to P6 pupils will be granted a half-day holiday on 14 May 2010. Hence, they will report to school from 7.30am to 10.00am. A separate half-day holiday will be granted to the P3 to P6 pupils in Term 3. Details of the exact date will be confirmed and communicated at a later date.

Please also note that all school activities after 10.00 a.m. will be cancelled.
The school’s General Office will remain open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Thank you and have an energetic start to a new week.

              Yours sincerely,

              Dr Chin Kim Woon
              Principal

And somehow the teacher has made it so fun to learn that DS is really enjoying himself learning it.
