Has anyone heard from RI re. interviews (supposed to be next week) for DSA Sports candidates?

Called RGS this morning.. all emails for the half day programme should be out today. For those who have gone for an interview earlier but did not receive an email for the half day programme, doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Fingers cross.

is this for all domains or only academic?

I would think it is for all domain except for sports.

Our interview was last Sat (15 Jul) and we received a reminder email from RI a week before.

I too, called RGS in this morning. They said only selected students would need to attend half day program and it does not mean those are not selected for half day prog are unsuccessful in the DSA application including candidates from mainstream, it sounds weird to me.

Is it true that some just need to attend interview without half day program and can be offered the place based on interview and academic performance in the past? Does anyone has the experience in the past?

Thank you. Because I just called the school this morning. I was told that sports is one of the domain so it is included? I think they must be receiving so many calls the response was not accurate and she wasn't really listening. No point calling the school as they don't really offer answers.

Sport domain only need to go for trials and interview. The half day programme doesn’t apply to them.

Rainbow sky, your dd dsa which sports? did she went for her trial?
Half day programs are for DSA Music(audition), Visual Art(test), Academic(test). Based on the website info, half day is not indicated for sports dsa.

Hard to say as next year DSA will not include general academic category and tests. It seems that almost all schools are already implementing part of these new changes, i.e. almost all do not have general academic tests this year, and NYGH only has interview. I re-read RGS DSA website carefully, and it does not indicate that not being called up for half day program = not successful, unlike NUS High which is quite clear on this point.

Perhaps RGS may not called up everyone for aptitude test, and will instead solely rely on past results and achievements for selection?

Thus far those called up for RGS half day program are in CCA and English. Also those called up for Maths and Science seems to be for interview but no one has received call for half day program (yet)?
