All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers

Hi there! I was quoted a monthly rate by a piano teacher for my child. Her monthly rates are fixed, in which 7months consists of 4 lessons, and 5 months only has 3 lessons. Rates are not prorated for the months with 3 lessons. Wonder if this is a common practice? Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

I would say this practice is uncommon for majority of piano teachers, but not uncommon among more premium piano teachers with limited slots. -

Piano teachers have paid annual leave and public holidays too right? Some choose to build that into their hourly rates, others don't. -
Thanks for your reply! The teacher has a diploma, and will be teaching my preschooler… Don’t think she’s a premium piano teacher though…
