Hike over lunch time or the whole event from start to end is 10am-2pm? Where was the hike done?

I actually appreciate if schools organise such stuff. Maybe because I do a lot of such activities, I know the effort and the responsibility that goes into it.

I will try to understand that it takes time to gather everyone, travel to the location, organise all of them, brief on safety aspects, etc. Then when the main event is over, there is also the closing of the event, then the travel back to school before all are dismissed.

Maybe I am also cuckoo one loh. I do bring kiddos for hikes at like 10-11am. Cos leave house at about 9+ after breakfast. Reach whatever place we want to explore about 10 to begin hike. Finish about 12+pm then hunt for food. Either that or we do 3pm - about 6pm timing, followed by dinner. And that was when kiddos were much younger. Most of the hiking trails are shaded so we find that it's not so bad.

Depending on where you hike, ie, the organizer can always choose a more shady trail.

i don't think there are any other feasible time slots for a school outing like this.

Even my trainees are not even outdoors from 11am to 2pm.Usually,we do indoor stuff as it is too hot to train outdoors.

What was the organiser thinking? And the participants are not even army men.You could get heatstroke easily if you do not hydrate yourself.

Must say though that walking in pe shirt along a trail is quite different from training in army gear?

So she basically hiked home. šŸ˜†

The Macritchie to Bt Timah trail is mostly shaded. There are spots where it may be like an open field without shade but that is just for a short stretch. It is about 2hrs track depending on how fast or slow you move and where at Bt Timah the hike ends.

hubby said indoor activities are conducted during the hottest hours of the day for amy boys.
this event has something to do with adam khoo program.
