Even so,we are not always in army gear all the time. Most of the time,we are in shorts and shirt. We only train outdoors when weather conditions permits.

Made to hydrate all the time due to the hot weather.

Even when I organise matches for my weekend football team,I made sure the matches are from 5-7pm as to make sure both teams are not playing in unhealthy conditions.
finally our army man here agrees. the person who organised the hike should have went yesterday.
3 paracetamol tablets within 12 hours is simply too much. it's not like training the girls before enrolling for NS.

So she basically hiked home. šŸ˜†

The Macritchie to Bt Timah trail is mostly shaded. There are spots where it may be like an open field without shade but that is just for a short stretch. It is about 2hrs track depending on how fast or slow you move and where at Bt Timah the hike ends.
yup...but had to go back to school for dismissal. she told me she could have walked home since it's near.[/quote]
BT exit is somewhere near Rifle Range?

Good n glad to hear this
a lot of us still think ns days is tough, no one care hot n wet , still must do ...
maybe dh time was \"tough\", he was once an \"red ant\" :rotflmao: šŸ˜† last time my male frens oso commented unreasonable training conditions

ok, next qn, - healthy male with 6/6 or 6/9 eyesight - likely ended up which unit - rumour
hear say - naval diver need a lot of men ?

It is still tough,no exceptions for anyone from any generation.Just that we are not that unwise to train from 12-2pm esp in the current weather.I did not say training has became less tougher though. When it is time to train hard, get into the sun, sand and the sea,I expect the same from my men too.

If you want to be elite, then must go through everything what we throw at you.

Cannot reveal too much.Every vocation will have specific physical requirements.

About your last question....Only the best of the best makes it.Not everyone can suka suka saunter in.There will be washouts along the way. It is not exactly summer camp.

the weather is so ridiculously hot and humid...yet the person who planned the hike still went ahead yesterday  bird brain

daughter took 2 paracetamol within 6 hours during the hike and came home to take another one after dinner. i kept her at home today as she is unwell.
Ya, weather is really hot and humid. School will be bringing my 5 year old to butterfly park. Not sure if it's appropriate. :?

So whenever the weather is good,I always tell my girls to jump into the car cos we are going for a picnic at their favourite place which is ECP.

                      Mommy cannot cycle though haha...

I want to bring them next to explore Pulau Ubin as my friend is the village headman there and the seafood there is fresh and yummy.

It will be fun for them.

If aircon, should not be an issue. Will find out more about the activities from the teacher.
