Hi Snow24,Hi
Anyone can share how do you teach child hidden social rules, social appropriateness when in public. Our children could be self directed and insisted on doing their ways. They might not think what they did are not appropriate or wrong. How do we educate or let them be aware.
I have chanced upon very good videos that teach social skills. Do check it out.

You can also try the book 'The Social Skills Picture Book Teaching play, emotion, and communication to children with autism' by Jed Baker. It is written in a simple manner for young children. It is available in the public libraries.Hi
How do you go about to write social story?
I used this book as a reference to develop my own social stories on scenarios that were specific to DD3 back then. -
I guess that among special facilities supporting kids and their parents who possibly have an ASD diagnosis (but definitely not only that, integrative schooling!) one was not mentioned - The Winstedt School - https://www.winstedt.edu.sg/ - here it is, convenient for people living in Kallang!

Hi
Support for ASD is it true is lifelong? What is most important/skills to teach them to be able to be independent when grow up. -
ASD is lifelong as it is inborn. But they can learn to deal with the various tasks they have to accomplish. They just need help with new tasks they encounter. Every child is different, so it’s hard to have a definitive list. Look at what he lacks now and deal with them, and as he learns each one, you can teach him another skill. For my daughter, what we have worked on mainly are social skills, executive function and physical skills. It will vary at different ages and stages, and also be dependent on situation.

Hi, does anyone been through the Son-rise program?
Sorry this may have asked before, if so, anyone can point me to the page pls?
Thanks. -
Hi, I have a 3 year old son who is just diagnosed with mild to moderate autism symptoms.
Although CDU refers me a EIPIC near my place, but it appears that it has a long waiting queue.
May someone guide me on what to do to ensure my son has early intervention as soon as possible?
