Good luck. 7 balloting for 5 seats. It should be a very short session, only 5 balls need to be drawn. And all the online discussion was at "ACS Family of Schools" thread, u seemed to have missed all of that. Please read up there I posted a lot about the balloting process etc. having gone thru it last year.

May I know how the balloting works? When I get to the school will the school let us confirm our children is in the ballot list?

Yes, definitely. You will get to see the list where the number and name is printed, make sure everything is correct.

After that the person in charge will say a few words. If there are any twins or triplets, it will be announced. The numbered balls are put into the golden cage and then locked. Video recording will be projected onto the big screen for all to see the closeup.

It is a ballot-in system. Meaning they will turn until 1 ball drops out, then call out the number and name of the child. On and on until the number of places is all taken up. Anybody whose number was not called means they did not get a place in the school.

For those who got the place, before you leave the room, please ask any burning questions you have, eg Date & time of the Orientation Day? Then you can go home in peace to plan your leave and holidays.

For those who did not get a place, I believe the school will provide counseling of what nearby options you have for phase 2C(S). If you want to wait list at this school, better ask on the spot how etc.

            Good luck!

Hi sorry to hear that your son didn't get the seat. But don't punish yourself, it's not because you're not there. Everybody got equal chance and being there is optional. That's why there is video evidence if you feel that there's any unfairness you can probably ask MOE to review the video.

But I suggest you focus on your 2C(S) choice now. Still got plenty of time to ask around which is more suitable around your area.
