Zedlyn:
For those with confirmed offers, a PSLE score of at least 200 is required. But for those who don't do DSA / no confirmed offers via DSA, a score of 188 can qualify the candidate for the Express stream.
Hi Zedlyn, I checked with secondary school teachers before, they said for DSA students with CO-- as long as their Tscore qualified for Express stream , the school had to accept them.
Please check out this link http://www.ifaq.gov.sg/MOE/apps/fcd_faqmain.aspx?TOPIC=8351#FAQ_59391
This Q&A was extrated from MOE website:
8.If I am offered a Direct School Admission - Secondary (DSA-Sec) place in a secondary school, do I have to meet the schools Cut-off-point for Secondary 1 admission?
To be successfully admitted to a DSA school, your Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) results must qualify you for a course the school offers.
Example 1: If a school only offers Express Course, your PSLE aggregate must at least qualify you for the Express/ Normal (Academic) course option. In this case, you will be admitted to the Express Course in the school.
Example 2: If a school offers Express, Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) course, your PSLE aggregate must at least qualify you for the Normal (Technical) course. If your course eligibility is Normal Technical (NT), you will be admitted to the NT course in the school. The allocated course is based on your course eligibility as determined by your PSLE aggregate and course offered by the school. -

Congratulations!! Which domain did your daughter applied under? RGS has a very unique DSA process. Some went for interview before HDP, and some the other way around.. -
In streaming table, there are 2 bands, i.e. >200 pts and 188 - 199 pts. There has to be a reason for creating 2 different bands, although both qualifies for Express stream.
Some months back I have heard from a school principal that DSA express need to be above 200 pts. So I think it is best to check with the secondary school the exact cut off for DSA students, instead of relying on website. -

I agree with Harrychew. I have specifically asked a particular IP school during the DSA registration and the reply was a minimum of 200.In streaming table, there are 2 bands, i.e. >200 pts and 188 - 199 pts.
